About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Fund Accounting to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing a data transformation strategy to enhance data integrity, reduce risk, and improve scalability. This role involves leading, developing, and mentoring the Fund Accounting team, as well as identifying and implementing process improvements across the function. Key operational activities include managing third-party fund administrators, supervising year-end fund audits, partnering with tax preparers on fund tax filings, and representing Fund Accounting in regulatory reporting. The Head of Fund Accounting will also be involved in managing special projects, such as new fund launches and systems integrations, and is expected to build a team culture rooted in mentorship, intellectual curiosity, and operational excellence. Applicants for the Head of Fund Accounting position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of fund accounting or related professional experience, with a strong background in leadership and a proven track record of driving organizational initiatives. The role requires extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, experience with fund accounting systems, and a strong analytical skill set with a cross-functional approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation, workflow improvement, or systems implementation, as well as a background in data architecture or reporting infrastructure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment is a must.
