It's time to look at Taylor.Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician to join the team in Duluth, GA.Work Authorization: To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.Your Responsibilities:Set up and operate large-format digital printing equipment, including the EFI Nozomi, according to job specifications.Review work orders and verify stock, artwork, color requirements, and production quantities before beginning each job.Initiate and run jobs according to the production schedule.Monitor print quality throughout production, including color consistency, registration, image quality, and overall accuracy against specifications.Identify print defects, press alarms, and mechanical issues and take prompt action to correct problems or involve Maintenance when needed.Perform daily startup, shutdown, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance procedures.Complete roll or sheet changes while minimizing downtime and material waste.Meet established standards for output, uptime, waste, spoilage, and quality.Maintain accurate production logs, quality documentation, and equipment maintenance records.Coordinate with Prepress, Scheduling, Maintenance, and Finishing to keep jobs moving through production.Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and proper chemical handling.Your Shift: 1st Shift; Monday - FridayYou Must Have:2+ years of experience operating digital or commercial printing equipmentPrevious experience operating a large-format digital pressExperience with color management, registration, and print quality inspectionStrong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issuesAbility to read and understand production work orders and technical specificationsBasic computer skills for production software, job tracking, and reportingBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to communicate professionally and work effectively with other departmentsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work within production deadlinesRequirements Within This Position:Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 50 pounds by lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carryingAbility to stand for extended periodsWe Would Also Prefer:Experience with HP Indigo, HP PageWide, Durst, or similar large-format digital printing equipmentExperience with corrugated packaging or POP display manufacturingKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S workplace organizationAbout Taylor Corporation One of the largest print and communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provides a diverse set of products, services and technologies that address the toughest business challenges.
