Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location

Atlanta, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit managing diagnoses including CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Diabetes, GI Bleeding, Altered Mental Status, Hypertension, and Renal Failure
• Perform and interpret continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Perform IV insertions and PICC line management
• Assist with and support bedside procedures including lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, nasogastric tube insertion, and feeding tube insertion
• Accurately document patient assessments and care using electronic health record systems
• Administer NIHSS assessments as required per unit protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 18 months of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation
• Proficiency with IV insertion and PICC line care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior experience assisting with bedside procedures such as lumbar punctures and thoracentesis
