Tax Preparer Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tax Preparer who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working through data and documentation, and values collaboration. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with teammates and internal partners in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and review complex Federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, which could include Individual, Business, Estate and Gift Tax returns Assist in the preparation of 1099s and other year-end related benefits calculations Prepare and review quarterly tax projections Support tax team with coordination of document needs Answer client questions and respond to client inquiries, providing superior service and ensuring successful resolution of any client need Other tasks as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required. (Finance or Accounting majors preferred) Proficiency in UltraTax tax preparation software strongly preferred 1-3 years of work experience in financial industry, tax and/or related field Strong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision required Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, and organizational skills Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with staff and clients Preferred Qualifications CPA candidate preferred SurePrep, UltraTax, Fixed Assets CS and tax research experience a plus Skills & Competencies Demonstrate strong and effective communication, organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a team based/collaborative environment Must accept and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment Adherence to all compliance policies & procedures Demonstrate the Cerity Partners culture Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Why Cerity Partners Health, dental, and vision insurance – day 1! 401(k) savings and investment plan options with 4% match Unlimited PTO Paid parental leave Financial assistance for advanced education and professional designations Cerity Partners is committed to providing an environment where all individuals can be their authentic selves.
