A leading law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant for its Kansas City, MO office. This role provides administrative support to litigation timekeepers within a collaborative team environment, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted workflow across active matters. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and proofreading documents and correspondence, with careful attention to formatting and accuracy of signature pages, attachments, and exhibits. The role handles electronic court filings, maintains paper and electronic client files, and manages scanning and organization of case documents. Additional duties include processing expenses, reimbursements, invoices, and pre-bills; entering time into the firm's billing system; and assisting with final billing review. The assistant supports trial preparation and case chronology tracking, manages multiple calendars, performs digital transcription, and may assist with discovery production and deposition scheduling. Other responsibilities include conducting conflict checks, drafting engagement letters, handling file openings, coordinating travel, and tracking CLE reporting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of office experience, including proficiency with MS Office Suite; prior legal office experience with litigation practices and electronic filings is a plus. This is a hybrid role requiring four days per week onsite in the Kansas City office. Salary range: $70,000–$75,000.
