Education MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Knowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to EPIC Experience & Qualifications Directorship experience of a hospitalist program MD or DO Board Certified Position Summary This role is for a physician who wants to practice through providing compassionate, patient‑centered care. Responsibilities Maintenance of timely, accurate and detailed medical records using EPIC Lead a team of physicians and advanced practice providers for a 24/7 hospitalist medicine team Prescribe medication or therapy when necessary Recommend lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life Explain all medical procedures thoroughly Explain test results and provide patients with plan of care details Consult with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs Serve on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested Seek to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals Participate in business development and marketing activities to grow the business Understand physician practice environment Have excellent communication skills at all levels Be able to work in a fast‑paced environment Physical Requirements This job can be physically demanding at times, requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment, push or pull up to 40 lbs, and carry and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a stressful environment independently, make sound decisions, be detail‑oriented, alert, and self‑motivated.
