Job Description
AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Production Manager- Food Manufacturing at Tiffin University.

Founded in 1960, AVI Foodsystems has evolved into one of the most respected and trusted food service companies in the nation. Providing comprehensive food services with a focus on the highest quality and freshest ingredients, impeccable service and total value is the reputation we have earned and live up to everyday.
Oversee a large food production and packaging facility, producing fresh food and bakery products and providing service to 50 branches in 8 states
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors
Maintain and strive to improve efficiency standards
Comply with SQF standards
Demonstrate a full understanding of culinary practices and hold production team members accountable for using proper portion control methods and techniques
Control food and labor cost
Requirements:
7 or more years of experience managing a food production and packaging facility
ServSafe Certification and HACCP understanding is a plus
Experience with R/D
FDA and State Inspection experience
Understanding of department production flows
Intermediate mechanical understanding of food production & packaging equipment is a plus
Excellent time management skills and ability to focus on details
A full understanding of weights and measures
Understanding of S.O.P., S.S.O.P, and G.M.P.
Ability to interact and work with all involved in the food safety inspection process
