Programs include intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) services that integrate individual, group, and family therapy, along with psychiatric care and medication management. 417 Recovery collaborates with schools, healthcare providers, hospitals, behavioral health professionals, probation departments, and community organizations to deliver coordinated care. Role Description The Registered Alcohol & Drug Technician (RADT) is a full-time, on-site role based in Murrieta, CA. This role supports adolescents in treatment by monitoring client safety, modeling healthy behavior, and helping maintain a structured, therapeutic environment. Day-to-day responsibilities may include supervising clients during groups and activities, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, documenting observations and client progress notes under supervision, and supporting implementation of treatment plans. The RADT may help facilitate psychoeducational and recovery-oriented groups, reinforce coping skills introduced in therapy, and coordinate with clinical staff to communicate client needs or concerns. Additional duties can include crisis support within scope of training, ensuring adherence to program rules and schedules, and participating in team meetings to promote consistent, high-quality care. Responsibilities Client Support and Supervision Provide direct supervision and support to adolescents participating in treatment. Assist with attendance, group transitions, daily routines, and client engagement. Respond to challenging behaviors with patience, calm communication, and consistent redirection. Reinforce program expectations and professional boundaries in a respectful manner. Build positive, supportive relationships with clients and serve as a role model. Communicate behavioral concerns and safety issues promptly to the clinical team and leadership. Group and Program Support Assist clinicians with psychoeducational, life skills, and recovery-focused groups. Prepare materials, activities, assignments, and worksheets. Encourage participation while recognizing each client’s individual needs. Support healthy communication, coping skills, accountability, and positive peer interactions. Documentation and Administrative Support Complete timely, accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Document client participation, observed behaviors, incident reports, communication logs, and other required records within the scope of the role. Maintain organized, confidential client records in accordance with agency policies and applicable privacy requirements. Assist with scheduling, data entry, filing, and general office tasks. Drug Testing Conduct observed urinalysis (UA) drug testing according to agency policies and training. Accurately document and track testing results. Communicate results to designated team members while maintaining client confidentiality and dignity. Monitor and replenish drug-testing supplies. Facility and Office Support Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment. Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of offices, group rooms, restrooms, and common areas. Monitor inventory of office supplies and program materials. Follow agency safety, infection control, and facility procedures. Work collaboratively with therapists, counselors, case managers, and leadership. Participate in staff meetings, required trainings, and program improvement activities. Communicate professionally with clients, families, and colleagues. Follow clinical team direction and seek support when client needs or behaviors require additional intervention. Required Qualifications Current Registered Alcohol & Drug Technician (RADT) registration in good standing. Ability to work effectively with adolescents ages 12–17, including those displaying challenging behaviors. Patience, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations. Strong organizational, multitasking, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality. Experience using EMR systems or willingness to learn. Current TB clearance. Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with adolescents in behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential treatment, or recovery settings. Experience supporting psychoeducational, life skills, or recovery-focused groups. Familiarity with adolescent development, emotional regulation, and addiction recovery principles. Experience using respectful redirection and de-escalation techniques.
