Phlebotomist - Part Time - In-Patient

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist-Hospitals to join our team in Melrose, MA. Work Schedule 24 hours/week, hours vary, 1st shift, Monday - Friday and rotating weekends. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as an in‑patient phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years’ experience as an in‑patient phlebotomist Current or previous LabCorp experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Pay Range: $22.00 – $32.00 per hour.
