Computational Fluid Dynamics Software Engineer page is loaded## Computational Fluid Dynamics Software Engineerlocations: Hampton, VAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-100502**Job Description:**The candidate will be responsible for improving data input and output extraction workflows within a widely used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solver that addresses complex aerodynamic problems across multiple flight regimes, from rotorcraft and aircraft to launch vehicles and reentry systems. This role provides a unique opportunity to enhance a tool relied upon by researchers and engineers across NASA centers and throughout the U.S. aerospace industry.Approximate salary range for this position is $73,000-$100,000 commensurate with education and experience.**Responsibilities:*** Implement efficient algorithms for grid compression and solution compression.* Explore approaches for a movable data extraction surface for wall modelling efforts.* Collaborate with the team to enhance the efficiency of the code framework.* Document findings and present them to stakeholders.**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
