The CDL A Construction Laborer plays an essential role in supporting small construction teams by handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring safety compliance across job sites. Reporting to the Equipment Operator Lead, this position frequently travels between locations and provides critical assistance that keeps projects running smoothly. This role offers opportunities for career growth into equipment operation positions.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Handle, load, and unload construction materials
- Prepare and maintain construction sites for operations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Assist skilled trades personnel as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site
- Transport materials between job sites frequently
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL A driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in construction labor
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety compliance
- Physical stamina for demanding tasks
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Basic understanding of construction processes
