Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasonographer)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasonographer) provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The role involves maintaining daily operations of the sonography room, managing patient schedules, performing equipment maintenance, and reporting any equipment failures. Additionally, the sonographer is responsible for quality assessment processes and must uphold high medical ethical standards while being self-motivated to enhance understanding and knowledge in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnostic imaging services using ultrasound technology.
• Manage daily operations of the sonography room and patient schedule.
• Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound equipment and report issues as needed.
• Engage in quality assessment processes to ensure standards are met.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of emerging technologies and procedures in sonography.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular specialties; Breast certification preferred.
• Certification in Adult Echo Cardiography is preferred.
• Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
