Shift Lead for The Penny Ice Creamery (Palo Alto/Los Altos) Santa Clara, United States | Posted on 08/06/2026 Salary $19.70 - $20.70 per hour plus tips Work Experience 1+ years Country United States State/Province California Job Description The Penny Ice Creamery | Made From Scratch We are seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our leadership teams at The Penny Ice Creamery shops in Palo Alto and Los Altos! As a Shift Leader, you will create an excellent customer experience by scooping ice cream and making special items like ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. You will get barista-trained and make high quality coffee and tea drinks. You will get trained on opening and closing the shop. You will also become an expert in making fresh sugar cones and marshmallow fluff from scratch. In addition to providing exceptional service, you will be a leader and role model for the staff. During your shift, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of business and the presentation of the shop, and upholding our high standards of service, product quality, and hospitality. We operate two Penny locations in Santa Clara County: - Town and Country Village (855 El Camino Real #121, Palo Alto, CA 94301) Requirements Requirements Include: Skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, and leadership. Ability to work autonomously, and as a team player and leader. Ability to effectively communicate and work in a fast-paced environment. Skilled in attention to detail and follow-through. Available to work on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Available to work at least 20 hours a week on a reliable basis. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in leadership, but we are willing to train the right person.
