Maintenance Technician II

Maintenance Technician IIResponsibilities will include, but are not limited to, general maintenance of all building systems, completing resident work orders, maintaining community curb appeal, and preparing homes for new move-ins. Primary responsibilities include:Complete resident work orders daily ensuring the highest standards are maintainedMaintain property grounds through daily inspection, cleaning, maintenance, snow removal (in season) and preventative carePerform general cleaning and upkeep requests as directedComplete new move in turnover to include painting, cleaning, and general maintenanceMaintain an organized, clean, and safe work areaComply with established site safety and hazardous communication standardsDaily maintenance/cleanliness of the pool area operationsDeliver resident correspondences as requestedPerform site inspection checklists as directedMaintain accurate records for work orders, preventative maintenance, and site inspectionsService and maintain building systems and building components including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall installation/repair, and appliancesAbide by all local, state, and federal Fair Housing guidelinesPerform and respond to after-hours on-call emergencies and work orders as part of a rotation scheduleCore Candidate Qualities:High school diploma or equivalent work experience1+ years' experience as a maintenance technician, building contractor, and/or trade school certificatePrevious experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall, carpentry, and appliances maintenanceHVAC knowledge and EPA certification preferredPositive attitude with effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with residents, coworkers, supervisors, and vendorsReliable transportation to get to work and conduct job responsibilitiesAbility to work a flexible work schedule any day of the weekThe ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds consistentlyBasic tools required for maintenanceAbility to read and interpret directions, manuals, instructions and company documentsAbility to write for routine reporting and correspondenceUtilize electronic devices including tablets and computersProficient with industry software platforms including Microsoft 365 toolsBenefits:Health, Vision, and Dental CoverageCompetitive 401K packagePaid Time Off /Paid Holidays8 Hours Paid Annual Volunteer TimeEducation ReimbursementMileage ReimbursementRental Discount at Select DTN PropertiesOngoing Training, Mentorship and Job ShadowingGrowth OpportunityExpected Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 Hours) On-Call: Must participate in week-long rotating on-call schedule.
