Come join us and lets achieve great things together!QA Compliance Tester / Specialist – First Party CertificationDevelopment SupportThe Development Support team member works with development teams to provide early testing, documentation creation (e.g. test cases and test briefs, QA Confluence pages), and handles basically anything that could potentially keep a Core QA team member out of the game. They provide feedback to the QA Leads on the health of their area/feature(s) and to the development team on the testing of their area/feature(s). They are the primary contact for our QA team, fielding design questions from Core QA and are the initial development teams first point of contact for asks on the status of testing, or to adjust the testing Core QA needs to complete.Requirements• Multiple development cycle experience with a focus on platform certification and compliance testing for consoles.• Demonstrated understanding of platform technical requirements and certification standards across multiple first parties, especially for multiplayer/online title.• Experience identifying and documenting violations related to save behavior, controller support, suspend/resume functionality, system messages, and user account handling.• Familiarity with platform-specific testing tools and environments used to validate content under real-world hardware and OS conditions.• Familiarity with first party accessibility compliance requirements• Ability to test system-level integrations such as Achievements, Rich Presence, Friends/Party systems, and platform UI overlays.• Experience writing detailed compliance test briefs and reports, including reproduction steps and direct reference to requirement documentation.• Experience estimating scope and timelines for certification readiness testing across major milestones and first party submissions.• Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex requirement documents and apply them effectively to current builds.• Detailed documentation and organization skills for tracking requirement coverage, results, and issue closure across builds.• Clear and concise communication skills, with experience collaborating across QA, Production, and Platform Relations/Publishing teams.• Able to make design recommendations to production team based on first party requirements and industry standards/benchmarksRecommended• Experience working on a game that successfully passed first party certification.• Jira, Confluence, Perforce, and SharePoint experience.• Understanding of content submission workflows, including final candidate preparation and metadata validation.• Familiarity with the Gears of War series, especially platform-specific features, and user flows.Whats in it for you?An opportunity to work for a world-renowned technology company testing a AAA game.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
