Sous Chef - Full Time

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: Ensure items are produced and dated according to specification, and labeling system is adhered to correctly. Adhere to and help implement safety and sanitation regulations; maintain cleanliness through shift to ensure quality product. Assist in training and monitoring employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity with minimum labor and food expenses. Inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary, and in perfect operating order Ensure that food products, presentation, temperature, and plating are of the highest quality, and are prepared to serve in a timely manner Serve as a backup for the Executive Chef in his or her absence. Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation. Requirements Requirements Minimum Education, Experience and Skills Two years cooking experience in a fine dining/hotel environment Experience in a culinary leadership role High School or GED ServSafe Certified Intermediate Computer Skills Valid SC Driver’s License Preferred Education, Experience and Skills Three years of cooking experience in CCRC, Assisted Living, and/or Long Term Care industry Knowledge of SC DHEC regulations Associates Degree in Culinary Arts At The , we believe in relationships, service, teamwork, stewardship and excellence and use these values daily as we serve.
