Role Description The Assistant Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Tomball, TX. This position supports the Service Manager in overseeing daily service department operations, including coordinating repair orders, managing service schedules, and ensuring timely vehicle maintenance and repairs. The role involves communicating with customers to explain recommended services, provide status updates, and resolve concerns in a professional and courteous manner. The Assistant Service Manager collaborates with technicians and service advisors to maintain workflow efficiency and quality standards, while monitoring compliance with dealership policies and safety guidelines. The role also includes assisting with performance tracking, reporting, and contributing to process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and department profitability. Qualifications Experience in automotive service operations, including coordinating repair orders and supporting service advisors. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in clear, accessible terms. Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of automotive systems, maintenance procedures, and dealership service processes. Proficiency with computer-based service management systems and standard office software. Leadership potential with the ability to guide team members, collaborate effectively, and support a positive work culture. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive training is beneficial. Previous experience in a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred.
