Warehouse Supervisor - Logistics-Transportation Dept Key Position Moraine, OH, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 7538 Overview Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Department: OEM Sales Department Direct Supervisor: OEM Sales Director Direct Subordinates: all warehouse employees Responsibilities Lead warehouse shipper and keeper to finish assignment from management. Responsible for loading/unloading finished glass/material storage; conscientiously implement the material finished glass warehouse management system procedures and rules. Responsible for finished glass/material receiving, shipping, storage and inventory management; collect and evaluate the issues for monthly cycle counting. Monitor finished glass/material storage quality (environment, inspection, expired, nonconforming product management); manage finished glass/material FIFO. Responsible for the implementation of 5S, environment and fire safety of finished goods warehouse. Responsible for manage and control for shipping of finished materials; improve inventory accuracy and effectiveness. Responsible for repacking and assembly production one shift in advance. Qualifications and Experience Languages: English and Mandarin; ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; bilingual English-Chinese is preferred. Experience: 1 year of manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education: BS Degree, preferably in College STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Majors. Physical Conditions and Requirements The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods; duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds; ability to pass static strength requirements (grip). Visual acuity requirements: near and far acuity, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision as described; ability to work in a typical warehouse environment. Noise level is usually moderate; safety requirements include safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed work boots. Other Requirements Mathematical skills: ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure. Reasoning ability: ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Computer skills: familiarity with manufacturing software. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Professional knowledge of glass manufacturing principles and processes; warehouse logistics; TS16949 quality management system; 5S and project management; problem solving using warehouse quality tools. Strong planning, organization, coordination abilities; good communication; reliability; ability to work under pressure. Training Required Systematic training regarding glass manufacturing technique. Systematic training regarding logistics management theory and tool application. Work Environment Bright, clean, well-ventilated office building; clean, spacious factory with low noise. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements include safety glasses and steel-toed work boots.
