This position is charged with the responsibility to assure that consistent quality care is delivered to the patient/resident population./ppAs Assistant Director of Nursing Services, this position is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out the assigned duties./ph3Qualifications/h3pQualifications:/pulliA current and valid license is maintained in the applicable State./liliMinimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in a long term care setting is preferred./liliAbility to read, write, and speak the English language./li/ulpEssential Functions:/pulliUnder the direction of the Director of Nursing Services, assists in directing and coordinating the day-to-day functions of the nursing care to patients/residents in accordance with state and federal rules, regulations, and standard nursing practices./liliAssists in ensuring the provision of treatments, medications, and nursing services according to a patients/residents care plan and physician directed orders./liliMay participate in annual evaluation and, if necessary, disciplinary counsel/action in accordance with Cantexs Hiring and Retention Manual./liliAssists in assuring the essential weekly and/or monthly committee meetings are held in accordance with Cantexs Clinical Policies and Procedures and Patient/resident Care Management Systems (i.e., Skin, Falls, Restraints, Weights, Assessments, and Quality Assurance Committees.)/liliConducts frequent rounds daily to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their essential functions in accordance with Cantexs Clinical Policy and State/Federal guidelines and regulations./liliAssures that each patients accident or incident is fully documented and reported in accordance with Cantexs Clinical Policies and Procedures, Patient/resident Care Management Systems and state/federal guidelines and regulations./liliAssures that each patients attending physician and family or responsible party is promptly notified of any significant change in the patients health condition./liliAbility to function as a Team Leader/Role Model./liliTake call periodically or as specifically needed by facility./liliEnsures that all Nursing Service personnel comply with the procedures set forth in the Cantex Clinical Policies and Procedures/liliHas reviewed Cantex Healthcares Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it./liliResponsible for assuring patient/resident safety./liliPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing./liliEnsures Patient/resident Care Management Systems are routinely in-serviced and incorporated into the delivery of patient/resident care./liliContributes to the orientation and professional development of the nursing staff./liliCompletes employee evaluations on either an annual basis or post probationary period; as well as provides counsel or disciplinary action when appropriate./li/ulpWe are an Equal opportunity employer; We offer an excellent benefit plan to include 401K with match, CEU reimbursement, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance Plans as well as a Highly competitive compensation package./p/div
