• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST
• Assignment Type: Per diem coverage
• Duration: 1 day of coverage
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,270-$7,420
• Work Environment: High-procedure-volume interventional and general radiology support
• Volume Expectation: Approximately 55 RVUs per shift

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited radiology training program
• Interventional radiology experience required; minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
• Experience performing image-guided procedures in a fast-paced setting
• Comfort working with fluoroscopy and a broad range of interventional procedures
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technologists and radiology staff
• Ability to manage a productive procedural schedule and maintain high-quality patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide locum tenens interventional radiology coverage for a busy on-site practice
• Perform fluoroscopy-based and image-guided procedures as needed
• Complete procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and CT-guided biopsies
• Perform ultrasound-guided biopsy and aspiration procedures, excluding breast procedures
• Carry out myelograms, spinal punctures, arthrograms, and fluoroscopy-guided aspirations
• Support CT-guided drain tube placement and fluoroscopy-guided G-tube placement
• Place tunneled catheters, trialysis catheters, and CT-guided percutaneous nephrostomy tubes
• Interpret and communicate findings clearly to support continuity of care
• Work efficiently within the expected procedural volume while maintaining excellent patient care
