About the Position: We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical/RCDD Engineer to lead the research, development, and production of electrical and low-voltage construction drawings. This is a critical role that blends high-level power distribution design with Information Communications Technology (ICT) expertise. You will act as a subject matter expert on complex healthcare initiatives, ensuring our novel designs improve client lives while remaining on time and under budget.

Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Design: Drive the design process from initial concept through conclusion, ensuring all electrical and ICT systems meet rigorous quality and performance standards.

Healthcare Systems Design: Develop specialized hospital systems including emergency generators, UPS systems, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).

Low-Voltage & ICT: Design and review ICT system specifications, including material requirements, installation techniques, and performance criteria in accordance with ANSI/TIA standards.

Technical Analysis: Perform complex electrical engineering tasks including arc-flash computations, short-circuit calculations, breaker coordination, and medium-voltage distribution design.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm), and local building norms.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to seamlessly integrate power, lighting, and low-voltage systems into the building architecture.

Mentorship: Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to junior engineers and designers, fostering a team environment of continuous learning and professional growth.

Required Qualifications
Licensure: Current Professional Engineer (PE) License and RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) License are both required.

Registration: NCEES Registration is required.

Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in the A/E industry, with at least 2 years as a licensed professional.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.

Logistics: U.S. Citizenship is required (Federal Contractor status); ability to travel up to 20% based on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications
Sector Expertise: Proven experience in healthcare-specific projects is highly preferred.

Additional Certifications: LEED, CEM (Certified Energy Manager), or LC (Lighting Certified) credentials.
