Growing together. The Sterile Processing Tech functions as an integral member of the team and is responsible for performing technical tasks that support clinical operations. The focus of this position is the decontamination and reprocessing of instrument sets and reusable sterile supplies. Schedule:

Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm Primary Responsibilities:Receives and processes instrumentation, supplies, and equipment from the operating room, departments, clinics, and outside customers in a timely mannerCleaning and decontamination of instruments, scopes, equipment, and disposal of biohazard

Utilizing proper PPE, tech will disassemble, inspect, and decontaminate via manual, ultrasonic and automated process following IFUs

Performs sterilization, and high-level disinfection of instruments, scopes and equipment via steam autoclaves, low temp and liquid chemical Performs and records required daily quality checks and tests on the sterile processing environment, instrumentation, and equipmentDocuments sterilization, HLD and tasks via electronic records, SPM or paper chartingFollows standards for handling instrumentation and equipment including AAMI standards and manufacturers instruction for useMaintains assigned work areas and equipment to follow AAMI standards and IFUsAssists in orientation of new employees to each work assignment area and total department operation Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDAbility to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing/pulling) transport 24lbs to max of 50lbs on a regular basis

Ability to communicate, read, write, speak and understand fluent EnglishDrivers License and access to reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications:Sterile processing Certification HSPA
