Per Diem | 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) | Non-Exempt
$17.00 – $18.50/hour (based on experience)

Hultquist Place Assisted Living is expanding our Per Diem Medication Aide Support Pool for 2nd Shift . We're looking for dependable, compassionate Medication Aides who enjoy flexibility while making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults.

The Medication Aide assists residents in our Assisted Living Program (ALP) with the self-administration of medications in accordance with New York State regulations and individualized service plans.

Working under the direction of licensed nursing staff, you'll help promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

• Assist residents with self-administration of medications per service plans
• Follow MAR/eMAR documentation and medication assistance procedures
• Observe and report changes in condition, side effects, or refusals
• Document assistance accurately and timely
• Ensure proper medication storage and safety practices
• Promote resident independence, dignity, and privacy
• Collaborate with nurses, aides, and the care team
• Participate in required training and quality initiatives

This position is non-clinical and follows NYS ALP/ACF guidelines:

• No medication administration
• No clinical assessments or nursing judgment
• No interpretation of physician orders
• All work performed under licensed nursing supervision

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of Hultquist Place’s in-house medication assistance training program, including demonstrated competency, is required prior to independent assignment and will be provided upon hire
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Strong attention to detail and reliability

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of experience with medication assistance
• Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare
• Experience working with older adults

• Per Diem
• 2nd Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
• Per diem team members commit to working one scheduled weekend every four-week scheduling period , helping ensure consistent, high-quality resident care.
• In addition to this commitment, team members have the opportunity to pick up additional weekday, weekend, holiday, and vacation coverage shifts based on their availability and facility needs.

• $17.00 – $18.50/hour (based on experience)
• Shift differentials available when covering other shifts:
  • $1.50/hour for 2nd shift
  • $0.75/hour for 3rd shift
