Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,387 a week in all, a taxable rate of $32.95 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Department: This position provides nursing care in an acute care setting for obstetrical patients, including labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum care, and obstetrical emergencies. Responsibilities include supporting cesarean sections, managing titratable infusions, and caring for patients with conditions such as hypertension and hemorrhage.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and verification; license for labor and delivery, postpartum, and main operating room practice, with a pending license potentially accepted; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:15 AM, consisting of 11.5-hour shifts, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating and/or scrubbing in the operating room for cesarean sections.
• Additional Information: Care may include labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients; obstetrical emergencies; hypertension; and hemorrhage. The role requires titration of infusions such as Pitocin, lactated Ringer’s solution, Fentanyl, and Labetalol. Registered nurses read telemetry strips and electronic fetal monitoring data. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend or one weekend based on seniority. Two 12-hour call shifts are required every four weeks.
