Compensation: $30.00-$35.00/hour, based on experience
What We Are Looking For
The Environmental Field Supervisor will oversee and assist with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, industrial cleaning, equipment decontamination and handling of materials. They must be able to work compliantly on remediation and industrial cleaning maintenance projects. The Environmental Field Supervisor will adhere to and maintain strict, established health and safety protocols, compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
What You Will Do
Serve as the on-site lead for environmental remediation, industrial maintenance, waste transportation, and emergency-response jobs.
Carry out the work plan and job instructions provided by the Operations Manager.
Perform hands-on fieldwork and operate commercial vehicles and environmental equipment.
Review job responsibilities, work procedures, and safety requirements with the crew before work begins.
Assign and direct daily tasks for CDL operators, equipment operators, environmental technicians, and emergency-response personnel.
Work alongside the crew while monitoring the quality, safety, and completion of assigned tasks.
Must be willing and able to work at elevated heights, including on ladders, scaffolding, cranes, or other elevated work surfaces, as required.
Work in confined-space environments.
Must be willing to remain clean-shaven to ensure the proper fit and use of required PPE.
Ensure employees use equipment properly and follow company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
Identify and immediately address unsafe conditions, improper work practices, and safety violations.
Stop work when an unsafe condition exists and notify the Project Manager or appropriate manager.
Keep the Operations Manager informed of job progress, delays, staffing needs, equipment issues, safety concerns, and changes in the work scope.
Coordinate the on-site use of employees, vehicles, equipment, materials, and supplies.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Confirm drivers complete required logs, inspections, and transportation documentation.
Complete accurate and timely job paperwork, including worksheets, safety forms, inspection records, incident reports, and customer documentation.
Serve as the primary on-site contact for the customer and maintain a professional working relationship.
Provide employees with on-the-job training, coaching, and feedback.
Address performance or conduct concerns on the job and communicate them to management for follow-up.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Report accidents, injuries, spills, property damage, and near-miss incidents according to company procedures.
Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency jobs, including overnight, weekend, and holiday work when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need
High school education or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
2 years of supervisory experience, remediation, or industrial maintenance experience a plus
Experience in related work (emergency response, manual labor, general construction, industrial cleaning) is preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification preferred
Confined Space Entry Certification preferred
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time
Pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds at a time
Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals/fuels or fumes
Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions
