Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR position requiring recent OR experience and BLS certification.

Details

• 4-room hospital OR unit with a staff of 5 RNs and 6 surgical techs (4 of whom are first assists)
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call coverage 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM Monday through Friday
• Procedures include robotic, orthopedic, total joint, ENT, GYN, general, bariatric, podiatry, and spine cases
• Specific case types include robotic prostate and hysterectomy, shoulder/knee/hip/trauma orthopedics, laparoscopic and open GYN, and spine fusions/laminectomies/ACDF
• Uses Meditech EMR
• May float to Endoscopy as needed
• Weekend rotation approximately every 5-6 weeks with one call night per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital OR experience required
• Active state license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Recent OR experience required
• CNOR certification preferred, ideally with 3+ years of experience
• Scrub procedure experience preferred

Additional Information

• Unit recognized as a Unit of Distinction in 2019 and holds Joint Commission certification for knee and hip procedures
• Grey scrubs provided and laundered by the hospital, to be changed daily
• Best fit candidates are flexible with a good attitude
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
