About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of acute care operating room experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: BSN preferred, PALS, BLS, and ACLS required Must-Have: Must live 50 miles away Description: The operating room nurse is responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures. Adheres to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques. Consults and coordinates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans. Serves as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team. Prepares the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure. Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring equipment is functional, and supplies/implants are available.
