Real Estate Company searching for a Director of Finance

\n

\n

A growing commercial real estate firm in the Boca Raton area is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its property accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting functions. This is a hands-on leadership role for a finance professional who can build and develop a strong team while improving processes, controls, and reporting quality.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Lead property accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting activities.
    • \n
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate, timely financial statements.
    • \n
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.
    • \n
  • Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting systems.
    • \n
  • Partner with senior leadership on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
    • \n
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, reporting requirements, and best practices.
    • \n
  • Support investor communications and provide clear, high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
    • \n

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience , with significant experience within commercial real estate.
    • \n
  • Proven experience leading and developing an accounting or finance team.
    • \n
  • Strong understanding of property accounting and real estate financial reporting.
    • \n
  • Demonstrated success improving processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure.
    • \n
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • \n
  • CPA highly preferred.
    • \n
  • Experience with Yardi or other commercial real estate accounting systems is a plus.
