Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Emergency Room setting with an average daily census of 29 patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of generally 1:2, with a potential maximum of 1:4
• Administer and manage medications utilizing the Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Collaborate with on-site providers, including NP/PA coverage daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care across a range of acuity levels

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior Emergency Room nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a small or critical access hospital Emergency Room environment
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Ability to work independently in a lower-volume, high-acuity setting
