Job Description:

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift, no call, no weekends, no holidays!

• Performs high-quality mammography exams, positioning patients and operating equipment to ensure optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.

• Ensures patient safety, identification, and comfort, including consent, time-out procedures, and clear, compassionate communication.

• Maintains compliance with MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing and regulatory documentation.

• Manages accurate documentation and workflows in EMR and PACS, including tracking, follow-ups, and coordination of additional imaging or procedures.

• Supports department operations by maintaining equipment/room readiness, monitoring inventory, and collaborating with radiologists and the care team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions [Required]

• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors [Required]

• Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations [Required]

• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety [Required]

• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]

• Ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition [Required]

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

• Ability to make judgments that must be made on a regular basis regarding exam protocols and imaging techniques, based upon patient condition and provisional diagnosis [Required]

• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required]

• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required]

• Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required]

• Performance of 2D and 3D mammography exams [Required]

• Customer Relations [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required] ​

• Associate [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$24.92 - $46.36
