Travel Registered Nurse - Critical Illness Recovery Hospital, Birmingham, ALTravel Registered Nurse positions are available in Birmingham, AL for a Critical Illness Recovery Hospital. You will care for high-acuity patients who have had extended ICU stays and complex conditions such as strokes, trauma, respiratory failure, cardiac failure, surgical complications, and non-healing wounds. The facility offers a collaborative environment focused on medically complex care and recovery.You must have strong critical care skills, including experience with ventilators, vasoactive drips, and various oxygen delivery modes. Nurses are expected to draw their own labs, use Omnicell for medication dispensing, and document in EPIC electronic medical record (EMR). Required qualifications include ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association, an active and unencumbered RN license (Compact or Alabama, and a respiratory fit test result.Recommended experience includes working on a stepdown floor and handling a 5-patient assignment with trachs and stable vents. Orientation consists of one 12-hour shift, after which you will manage your own patient team. The contract is 13 weeks, with a minimum expectation to work every other weekend. Registered Nurse, PCU RN(Compact Accepted) Certifications: ACLS

BLS DOB Required References: 1 Reference in entire work history skilled with Vents and trachs willing to work in long term acute care setting
