Job Details Mercedes Benz of West Chester – West Chester, OH 45069 Salary: $100,000 – $160,000 base + commission per year. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5pm. Body Shop Technician at Mercedes Benz Luxury Collision, a Hudson Automotive Company. Responsibilities Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Repair collision-damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and company standards. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and report any deviations to management. Document all work performed on the repair order. Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician. Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Keep shop area neat and clean. Maintain and be accountable for all dealership‑owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as received. Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right‑to‑Know, etc. Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Report any safety issues immediately to management. Preferred Certifications Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications Engine Repair Certification for Auto/Light Truck Automobile Parts Specialist Certification I‑CAR Certificate of Advanced Training Advanced Vehicle Systems Aluminum Repair, Replacement and Welding Collision Repair 2000 Electronics for Collision Repair Steering and Suspension Understanding Collision Repair State Emission Certification State Vehicle Inspector Certification Qualifications 5+ years collision technician experience preferred. Strong knowledge of manufacturer specifications and company standards. Detail oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
