Pay Rate:
Local: $45–$50/hr
Traveler: $45–$50/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Speech Language Pathologist experience appropriate for the assigned healthcare setting

• Active and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in California

• Ability to perform speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing assessments

• Strong clinical communication, documentation, and patient-care skills

• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation teams

• Additional facility-specific certifications may be required

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

• Provide speech-language therapy and therapeutic interventions

• Treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and communication strategies

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, OTs, PTs, and other healthcare professionals

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Communicate patient needs and progress with families and healthcare teams

• Recommend appropriate therapeutic exercises, communication techniques, and compensatory strategies

• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings

• Follow facility policies, professional standards, patient safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines

• Provide compassionate, professional, patient-centered care

• Perform other SLP duties as assigned
