SAP S/4 Architect

Location: Orlando FL Duration: 18+Months Work Mode: Hybrid 3days Onsite Experience: 8 15+ Years Employment Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance / FICO Solution Architect to lead the design and transformation of global Finance and Controlling processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, FI/CO, Record-to-Report (R2R), General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Product Costing, and financial reporting , along with extensive experience integrating Finance with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, tax engines, and legacy applications. The candidate will work closely with global process owners, finance leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate complex financial requirements into scalable, standardized SAP S/4HANA solutions. Key Responsibilities:

• Translate complex Finance, Controlling (CO), and General Ledger business requirements into scalable and standardized SAP S/4HANA architectures .
• Lead the design and implementation of global R2R processes , including financial close, general ledger, reporting, asset accounting, controlling, and product costing.
• Drive process optimization, automation, simplification, and harmonization across global Finance and Controlling operations.
• Design solutions supporting month-end/year-end closing, financial reporting, cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, and product costing .
• Provide architectural guidance for SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, transformations, and global rollouts.
• Ensure seamless integration between Finance and non-financial SAP modules, including MM, SD, PP, SCM, and Manufacturing .
• Design and oversee integration with external tax engines, legacy applications, reporting platforms, and other third-party systems .
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define integration architecture, data flows, interfaces, and transformation requirements.
• Advise global process owners and senior business stakeholders on SAP Finance best practices, compliance, GAAP/IFRS requirements, and modern Finance technologies .
• Identify opportunities to standardize and simplify global Finance processes while maintaining appropriate country-specific requirements.
• Support solution governance, architecture reviews, design documentation, and technical decision-making.
• Work with cross-functional teams during requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support .
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and global deployments.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Systems , or a related field. 8 15+ years of progressive experience in SAP FICO/SAP S/4HANA implementation, solution design, and architecture. Minimum of 4 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations or global rollouts . Strong expertise in: SAP S/4HANA Finance SAP FI/CO General Ledger Asset Accounting Controlling Product Costing Cost Center & Profit Center Accounting Financial Closing Financial Reporting Record-to-Report (R2R) Strong understanding of integration between Finance and Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales processes. Experience integrating SAP Finance with external tax engines and legacy systems . Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles and their impact on SAP Finance solutions. Strong understanding of global Finance process standardization, harmonization, and automation. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working with global process owners and senior business leaders .

Professional SAP FI or CO certification strongly preferred. Experience with SAP BPC or related financial planning/reporting solutions. Experience with global SAP template design and rollout methodologies. Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs, including SAP Activate methodology. Strong understanding of Finance integration with MM, SD, PP, and other business processes . Experience working in large, complex, multinational organizations.
