Job Summary:

Award Care at Big Bend is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for residents with physical, emotional, or cognitive impairments

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and interventions to improve residents' daily living skills, mobility, and cognitive function

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' specific needs and goals

• Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to ensure seamless transitions and coordinated care

• Provide education and support to residents, families, and healthcare staff on occupational therapy techniques and strategies

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote optimal resident outcomes and staff development

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant required

• Completion of an accredited OTA program

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification required

• Minimum of 0 years of experience in occupational therapy or a related field (new graduates welcome to apply)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a focus on providing exceptional resident care

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff

• Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for residents with diverse needs and backgrounds
