Specialties Needed Emergency Department (ED) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Step-Down Unit (SDU) Requirements Active North Carolina RN License (or compact multistate license) Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in ED, ICU, Med-Surg, or SDU Current AHA BLS Certification ACLS required for ICU and ED (preferred for SDU) Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Job Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Maintain compliance with hospital policies and infection prevention standards Provide patient and family education as appropriate Why Join First Choice Nurses?
