Job Title: Registered Nurse After Hours Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: Hospice and Palliative Care certification preferred Must-Have: Experienced clinician skilled in symptom management and urgent care visits. Description: The Registered Nurse After Hours is responsible for providing patient care in various settings including residential homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and hospice care centers. This role involves managing symptom management and urgent visit needs, as well as attending after-hour deaths for all service lines. The After-Hours Nurse is an experienced clinician skilled at quickly assessing patient and family situations and identifying possible interventions. Communication is thorough and specific to the audience. The RN will work from home between patient visits. The schedule includes 3 shifts per week, each shift being 12 hours from 7 PM to 7 AM, rotating through nights of the week. There is no set schedule; shifts will be provided 6 weeks in advance. Holiday coverage is required.
