The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. The Patient Services Rep is responsible for coordinating and managing patient appointments to support efficient operations and positive patient experience. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and staff to schedule appointments, maintain accurate patient information, communicate scheduling details, and help ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care. As Patient Services Rep, a typical day might include the following: Demonstrating excellent customer service in communication with patients, visitors, physicians and staff Assisting with patient flow and directing patients to appropriate department Answering a high volume of incoming calls promptly, transferring calls to staff as needed Scheduling appointments for patient consultations, procedures and visits with medical personnel and reminding upcoming appointments Identifying patients with non-participating plans and resolving any surrounding issues prior to their appointments Registering patients in a timely manner, verifying patients’ full legal name spelling and date of birth, and accurately inputting all required information into the patient registration system Completing transactions regarding up-front collection (co-payments) of patient payment at the time of registration Performing all clerical functions in compliance with departmental rules and regulations The Patient Service Rep role might be for you if: You communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families and healthcare professionals You stay organized and can effectively manage multiple priorities You enjoy coordinating schedules and solving challenges You are detailed-oriented You respond in timely manner to all office and schedule inquiries You work collaboratively with team members You are comfortable using electronic medical systems, including EPIC To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School diploma and equivalent. Preferably with one (1) year experience in clerical and receptionist in health care setting. Experience working with urban populations of multiple ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills. Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines. Must demonstrate willingness to learn. Bilingual preferred. Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm.
