Job Type Full-time Part-time PRN Benefits Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Retirement benefit Principal Responsibilities The Physical Therapist performs treatments and exercises to help patients recover from illnesses and injuries. Their main duties include using various treatment techniques to develop personalized treatment plans, prescribing medications to relieve pain and increase mobility, and teaching patients exercise techniques to improve their health. This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms; review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons. Diagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move. Develop individualized treatment plans. Coach patients and teach them therapeutic massage to ease pain and promote healing. Maintain patient records by tracking goals. Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions. Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness; modify services based on patient evaluation and refer as needed. Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services per regulatory and clinical requirements. Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system, maintaining patient records per company policy and accurately recording treatment minutes. Participate in facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences. Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students. Adhere to company-required policies, procedures, and code of conduct. Maintain active State licensure. #J-18808-Ljbffr
