Shift Leader
As a Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A LBJ & Midway, you are more than a strong Team Member—you are a leader on the floor. You help set the tone for each shift by leading with urgency, hospitality, professionalism, and care. Whether you are coaching Team Members, supporting guests, or helping the restaurant run smoothly during a busy rush, you play a critical role in creating a remarkable experience for both our team and our guests.

Required Availability
- Must be able to work one or more of the following shifts: 5am-2pm, 11am-8pm, or 2pm-10:30pm.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 35-40 hours per week.
- Must be able to work Monday-Saturday.
- Must be able to work in a year-round capacity. No summer/seasonal positions are available.
- Must have flexibility to work opening, mid, evening, and Saturday shifts as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have previous leadership or management experience.
- Must have 2-5 years of experience in fast food, quick service, or high-volume restaurant operations.
- Must have experience leading shifts, coaching Team Members, and helping drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to hold yourself and others accountable to Chick-fil-A standards while leading with professionalism and care.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, Team Members, and leaders.
- Must be able to lead with confidence, urgency, professionalism, and sound judgment during busy shifts.
- Must be able to work both inside and outside the restaurant, including in adverse weather conditions when needed.
- Must be willing and able to obtain Food Handler Certification and complete any required restaurant training within 14 days of start date.
- Must be friendly, outgoing, professional, and team-oriented.
- Must be able to lift and carry 35 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Open availability between 6am and 10:30pm is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience leading shifts in a fast food, quick service, or hospitality environment is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with training, coaching, accountability, and guest recovery is preferred.
- Experience in drive-thru, front counter, food safety, labor deployment, or restaurant operations is a plus.
- A desire to grow into higher levels of leadership is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead shifts with excellence by helping ensure strong execution, smooth operations, and a remarkable guest experience.
- Coach, encourage, and support Team Members in real time while maintaining high standards for performance, professionalism, and hospitality.
- Make every guest interaction memorable and remarkable by delivering exceptional, accurate, and efficient service while applying the Core 4 and executing our Winning Hearts Every Day Strategy in every interaction.
- Help oversee daily operations, including shift deployment, position effectiveness, cleanliness, speed of service, and order accuracy.
- Help create a culture of accountability by reinforcing expectations, addressing performance in the moment, and leading by example.
- Assist in directing traffic flow during high-volume periods and help the team respond well under pressure.
- Support training and development by helping new and existing Team Members grow in skill, confidence, and consistency.
- Address guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and care, and assist with service recovery when needed.
- Model strong communication, teamwork, ownership, and attention to detail in every area of the restaurant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including the dining room, restrooms, parking lot, and workstations.
- Assist with opening or closing responsibilities as scheduled.
- Partner with Directors and senior leaders to execute daily goals, protect standards, and drive results.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in fast food, quick service, or high-volume restaurant operations required.
- Previous leadership, supervisor, team lead, trainer, or shift management experience required.
Salary & Compensation
- $16 - $20/hour, depending on experience, availability, and leadership background
