Driver Associate

Driver Associates efficiently deliver our products to our customer accounts in a courteous, professional, compliant, safe and timely manner. Drivers use a multitude of methods including manual lifting, dumping, and/or moffett unloading in multi-temperature environments.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Job Functions:

• Delivers lumber, hardware and building materials to customer's job site;
• Reloads pickups of lumber, hardware and building materials onto truck from job site and returns them to lumberyard;
• Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition;
• Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks; Inspects delivered products for quality and damaged appearance at time of delivery;
• Ensures all shipping documents and receipts are properly completed;
• Maintains driver log according to state and federal regulations;
• Uses straps to secure cargo during transit;
• Maintains good company image by presenting a clean and neat appearance while delivering merchandise to customers;
• Assists customers and stocks merchandise consisting of lumber and building materials when not on deliveries;
• Stacks lumber in yard or in shed;
• Builds loads;
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements:

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
• Ability to remain focused in busy environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least two year related experience.
• MO Class E or KS Class C Driver's License

Safety Requirements:

• Wears high visibility, safety PPE, and proper uniform
• Performs daily vehicle inspections
• Safely operates equipment
• Promptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged products
• Report any malfunctioning equipment
