Professional Sales Representative

Trueline's client, a well-established employee-owned provider of cabinetry, countertops, and interior solutions, is seeking a Professional Sales Representative - Residential to join their team in the Kansas City, KS area. This is an opportunity for a proven residential sales professional to develop a strong territory, deepen relationships throughout the local building and remodeling community, and benefit directly from the business they generate through uncapped commissions and employee ownership. You'll combine business development and consultative selling with estimating and project coordination, working with homeowners, builders, remodelers, contractors, and other residential partners from the initial opportunity through a successful project handoff. What You'll Do as the Professional Sales Representative - Residential: Develop new residential sales opportunities throughout the Kansas City market Build lasting relationships with homeowners, homebuilders, remodelers, contractors, designers, and referral partners Guide customers through cabinetry, countertop, and related interior product selections Prepare accurate estimates, quotes, proposals, and project recommendations Review residential plans and project requirements to ensure accurate pricing and product recommendations Follow up consistently on leads, proposals, and outstanding opportunities Build a strong pipeline through referrals, networking, relationship development, and proactive prospecting Manage customer relationships throughout the sales and project lifecycle Partner with internal design and operations teams to ensure successful project execution Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and generate repeat business Stay informed about products, residential design trends, competitors, and market activity Manage multiple customers, proposals, and projects without sacrificing responsiveness or accuracy Must-Haves as the Professional Sales Representative - Residential: Proven sales experience within cabinetry, countertops, closets, kitchen and bath, building products, or similar residential interior products Experience developing relationships with homeowners, builders, remodelers, contractors, or other residential customers Demonstrated ability to generate and close new business Strong consultative sales and relationship-management skills Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail Ability to accurately manage estimates, proposals, and project information Self-motivated approach to territory and pipeline development Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed Nice-to-Haves as the Professional Sales Representative - Residential: Cabinetry or countertop sales experience Experience reading and scaling residential blueprints Kitchen and bath design or interior space-planning experience Existing Kansas City-area relationships with builders, remodelers, contractors, designers, or residential customers Established book of business or referral network Experience with 2020 Design, Cyncly, ProKitchen, or similar software Our Client Offers: Base salary of $65,000-$100,000, depending on experience Expected first-year OTE of $125,000-$160,000 Uncapped commission opportunity Enhanced base compensation during the first six months before transitioning into the long-term compensation plan Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Multiple medical plan options, including HSA offerings Opportunity to build a significant residential territory and recurring customer base Stable, employee-focused culture Long-term career growth with an established employee-owned organization Trueline and its clients are unabashed equal-opportunity employers committed to a diverse workforce.
