Position: Lot Attendant
Location: McGhee Tyson Airport (2055 Airport Hwy)
Pay: $15/hour
Schedule: 4pm to 12am; shift days will vary and may include weekends.
The Lot Attendant performs a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth operation of the parking facility, while delivering service that exceeds our customer/client’s expectation, including greeting guests, issuing tickets, completing car counts, and ensuring facility cleanliness and assisting clients with their vehicle needs.
This role is responsible for providing on-site vehicle assistance within airport parking facilities and primarily involves driving a company vehicle equipped with jumper cables and basic tools to assist customers with dead batteries and minor vehicle issues, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced airport setting.
The Lot Attendant works closely with fellow team members, Operations Manager, and/or Shift Supervisor to ensure that cleanliness as well as safety standards are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Act as traffic controller to direct incoming guests to available parking spaces.
- Perform vehicle counts on location throughout shift to ensure garage does not over fill available spaces.
- Ensure vehicles are parked according to lot layout, spacing, and site instructions
- Distribute parking validation instructions or signage information when applicable
- Adjust cones, barriers, and directional signage as needed
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
- Monitor pedestrian crossings and ensure safe vehicle-pedestrian interaction
- Provide assistance to guests who have forgotten where they parked.
- Drive a designated airport service vehicle throughout parking garages and surface lots
- Respond promptly to service requests for vehicle jump-starts using jumper cables or portable battery packs
- Assist customers with minor vehicle-related issues, such as locating their vehicle, lockouts (no tools), and basic troubleshooting (non-mechanical)
- Perform routine inspections of parking areas to identify safety hazards or maintenance issues
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, airport staff, and supervisors
- Document assistance calls and services provided using required logs or mobile systems
- Follow all airport safety, security, and driving regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the service vehicle and equipment
- Provide general parking assistance and customer support as needed
- Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, relay information to Operations Manager or Shift Lead as necessary.
- Immediately report any accidents, incidents or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
- Follow established safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate professionally at all times with guests, clients, and teammates.
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety procedures and report hazards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to verbally communicate with guests
- Previous customer service experience, preferred
- Ability to safely drive and maneuver a service vehicle in tight parking areas
- Basic knowledge of vehicle battery jump-start procedures (training provided)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Constantly move around the property by walking for extended periods of time, sometimes for entire duration of shift
- Stand for extended periods of time, sometimes for entire duration of shift
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.
- Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes
