Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in high volume delivery service. License: Registered Nurse Texas license. Certifications: BLS Provider certification, Neonatal Resuscitation certification, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification, Advanced Life Support certification. Must-Have: BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Advanced Life Support certification. Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification. Description: This position is specifically for our Women's OB ED. The facility has a Level IV Client Designation, consisting of 26 labor, delivery, recovery suites, 6 C-section suites, 14 triage rooms, 60 mother-baby couplet rooms, and 15 monitored antepartum rooms. It serves as an academic teaching service in addition to accommodating large private OB practices. The environment is high-risk and fast-paced, performing over 500 deliveries per month. There is 24-hour in-house attending OB coverage, anesthesia coverage, and NICU coverage. The perinatal transport program is available. Our Women's ED addresses an expanded scope of low acuity women and patients from 16 weeks pregnant to 6 weeks postpartum.
