Bolo, Philadelphia’s newest Latin American dining room and rum bar nestled in Rittenhouse Square, boasts an expansive menu of traditional and imaginative takes on Latin American and Caribbean cuisine. From acclaimed Chef Yun Fuentes, the bi-level, ültra-colorful restaurant and bar transports guests through food, beverage, design, and atmosphere to the islands, specifically Puerto Rico, home to Fuentes and grandfather Juan “Don Johnny” Fuentes of whom Bolo is inspired by and named after. In addition to the creative, expertly-curated dinner menu, Bolo boasts a full rum-focused bar program with variety of classic and signature cocktails, craft beer, and more.  

Job Details:

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a genuine, friendly and courteous manger and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the POS to inform the kitchen/bar of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all local, state and federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in equivalent service
• Must be outgoing and positive
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
• Must be able to assist guests and possess great guest relation skills
• Ability to stand, walk, carry food and beverage trays for prolonged periods of time
• RAMPS cert a plus
• Aloha, Toast, Breadcrumb POS knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of standard steps of service
• Basic craft beer knowledge
• Basic classic and craft cocktail knowledge
• Basic wine knowledge
• Sunday availability mandatory
