Management Company Accountant

Location: Chicago, IL

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days per week

The Opportunity

A leading global private investment firm is seeking an Accounting Associate to join its management company finance team in Chicago.

What You’ll Do

• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids and intercompany activity
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting
• Assist with management reporting, variance analysis and financial statements
• Support accounting across multiple domestic and international entities
• Help maintain internal controls, accounting policies and procedures
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders on reporting and special projects

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Approximately 2–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong preference for corporate or private-side accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with month-end close and journal entries
• CPA or progress toward the CPA is a plus
• Strong academic background
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and communication skills
• Asset management or private equity exposure is helpful, but not required
