Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor neonatal patient conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, nutritional support, and specialized treatments as prescribed
• Operate and monitor neonatal equipment including ventilators, CPAP, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, and emergency procedures
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate and support parents and families regarding treatment plans, infant care, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
• Provide compassionate, family-centered care throughout the neonatal journey

Requirements

• Active RN License in Washington
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification required
• ACLS Certification preferred
• STABLE certification preferred
• Strong neonatal assessment and critical care skills
• Excellent communication and family education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity NICU environment
