Travel PCU Stepdown RN

Role: Stepdown RN Responsibilities: Provide care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, administer medications, assist with cardiac procedures, observe patient conditions, respond to emergencies, document assessments, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Initiate patient education focused on cardiac health and safety, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to safety and infection control protocols. Qualifications: One year of recent Stepdown RN experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include PCCN and NIHSS. Skills & Abilities: Critical thinking, excellent communication, physical stamina to handle equipment and move about, ability to work under pressure, and proficiency in PC skills. Must demonstrate visual acuity, interpersonal effectiveness, and adaptability to irregular schedules.
