Team Member (Barista & Cook) – Just Love Coffee Cafe Memphis Position Summary The Team Member position is a cross‑trained role responsible for both Front of House (Barista) and Back of House (Cook) responsibilities. Team Members are expected to provide exceptional guest service, prepare quality food and beverages, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and assist wherever needed to ensure smooth daily operations. This position is designed for team members who are flexible, dependable, and willing to learn all aspects of the café. Whether preparing specialty coffee drinks, taking guest orders, cooking food, completing prep work, or supporting catering orders, Team Members play a vital role in delivering the Just Love experience. Key Responsibilities Guest Service Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take orders accurately and efficiently. Deliver a positive guest experience and resolve concerns appropriately. Maintain a clean, welcoming dining room and patio area. Barista Responsibilities Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, teas, refreshers, smoothies, and other menu items according to recipes and standards. Maintain beverage quality, consistency, and presentation. Restock supplies and keep beverage stations organized and clean. Cook Responsibilities Prepare menu items according to recipes and food safety standards. Complete prep work and stocking tasks as assigned. Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation. Support catering preparation and large orders when needed. Operations & Teamwork Assist with opening, shift, and closing duties. Communicate inventory shortages and operational concerns. Work collaboratively with teammates to maintain efficiency during busy periods. Cross‑train and assist in both front and back of house as business needs require. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Qualifications Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn both barista and kitchen responsibilities.
