Psychiatric Technician (Safety) – Hospital Wide – Metropolitan State Hospital – Various Classification: PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIAN (SAFETY) Position Details: Job Code #: JC-520404 Position #: 487-052-8253-XXX Working Title: Psychiatric Technician (Safety) – Hospital Wide – Metropolitan State Hospital – Various Salary (S): $5,843.00 – $6,797.00 Salary (T): $6,040.00 – $7,203.00 Salary (U): $6,261.00 – $7,466.00 New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. # of Positions: Multiple Work Location: Los Angeles County Telework: In Office Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Facility: DSH – Metropolitan Job Description and Duties Under general supervision, incumbents administer care to forensic, LPS, and medically fragile patients; assist in planning and evaluation of nursing care; provide a basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care; and are expected to facilitate the rehabilitation of forensic clients and patients. Candidates must be willing to work in any Unit/Program and any shift to meet the needs of the facility. Training Expectations: If selected, it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled up to 30 days for level of care staff.
